Whilst we are all at home, we wanted to bring our course to you, so welcome to Sevenoaks Chamber Music’s first online collaboration!
This is no replacement for real chamber music with other musicians in person, but it is a fun and rewarding way of making music with ourselves and our friends.
We invite you to:
-
FIND A CATEGORY (Junior, Intermediate and Senior) which best represents your standard.
-
Have a look through the pieces in that section and LISTEN TO THE RECORDINGS which can be found by clicking on the links next to the pieces, or here for our YouTube channel. (Some of the pieces have an introduction video which talks through the the specific difficulties you may find as well as some things to look out for. We would recommend watching these as well)
-
CHOOSE A PIECE that you really enjoyed listening to and click on the music which can be found below.
Task 1
-
After having chosen your piece, PICK A PART to learn and make a start on learning it.
-
Once you feel happy with it, try and PLAY ALONG with our recording.
-
If you would like to, please ask someone to RECORD you playing along to the video.
Task 2
-
If you would like to, by USING THE ACAPELLA APP (which is available to buy on IOS apple devices), RECORD THE PART that you chose.
-
You can then CLICK TO COLLABORATE and SEND TO A FRIEND, KATIE OR HAZEL, who can then record the other parts. This way, we are creating music with each other whilst staying at home!
Task 3
-
If you are feeling particularly adventurous…. TRY LEARNING ALL OF THE PARTS to your chosen piece.
-
Then try to RECORD EACH PART on the Acapella app.
Please do send us your recordings as we would love to see you creating music at home and if you are happy for us to, we might even put some on our website/YouTube channel too!
